Donna's personal take: We regularly run mobile, pop-up bars for our friends and the one tool I’ll never forget is my peeler. (The most common thing we do forget is a jigger, never assume your friends own a proper jigger, I am finding that most don’t. Gotta love it when they hand you that little mystery cup with no markings on it.) A good sharp peeler is essential and this is the only one I’ve found that I really love. Some people prefer the Y-shaped peeler so we carry that in the same brand also. I once spent over $30 on a fancy peeler and it's absolute crap, no one could possibly make a good twist using it. I would strongly suggest your bar peeler is clearly marked so that it never meets a potato – once they do they’re just never the same.
